This photo shows the left side of the cabinet. Note that there
are no motifs on this side.
The cabinet has a compartment for a mug and brush at the bottom.
A razor compartment is on the left, and four compartments
on the right for razor blades.
This photo shows a shaving mug in the lower compartment.
The motifs on the cabinet were made by drawing heavy pencil
lines and applying walnut hull juice in the area encompassed by
them. The juice stays inside the lines because the graphite
repels it. I have only seen this technique used here in The
Ozarks but knowledge of it may have existed elsewhere. My pa
sometimes made elaborate designs on wood in this way.
