Removal of the nose converts it to a chisel
I intend to use this plane on a shoot board to
trim end grain.
I will also trim shoulders on tenons using it on end grain.
In chisel plane mode I discovered that it
works well on stopped chamfers.
I found that it is hard to locate and start
the screw unless a strong magnetic
or a screw-holding screwdriver is used to reach through the
of the plane to assemble it.
