replacement depth stop but overnight I decided to use beech
Chatting with Ollie Sparks and Richard Arnold about the form it
should take and they suggested a few examples. One was very
close and I decided to do a good prototype to see if it will
The second thought I had was that an English boxwood depth stop,
though nice, would be non-stock and may look just wrong. So...
here is the process for making one in beech.
The repair had to be cut level with the original pocket and
cleaned out. The AI dovetail chisel was good for this with the
fishtail one doing the corners.
